Morehead
City has a moderate coastal climate which is
greatly influenced by the warm south-to-north
flowing Gulf Stream waters that are located just
off our North Carolina coast. In the winter the
constant temps of the Gulf Stream waters help
keep our average daily temperatures about ten
degrees warmer even on land. In the summer the
average temperatures are equally cooled from the
hot inland temps by the influence of the Gulf
Stream. In other words, don't gauge our
weather by what you are experiencing inland. It
can be snowing in Greensboro on the same day we
are catching fish offshore in our shirt sleeves.
Below are some
websites that we sometimes use to help determine the
local weather and water conditions for our
charters. |
